Portraits

Perhaps the greatest strength of large format photography and vintage lenses is in portraiture.  Big old lenses characteristically create a soft dreamy look and a timeless feel to portraits.  When introduced to a Camera Eccentrica most people are fascinated by both the camera and the process and are delightfully co-operative about having their picture taken.  It makes photography a special event again, as it was in the Victorian era, on a totally different level to all the forgettable phone snaps.
